Carol’s own journey to becoming a professional trainer came from adopting her dog, Vixen who proved to be a challenge to train. Carol attended and graduated with honors from the Animal Behavior College and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Ursinus College in English Education. She continues her education by attending several seminars and conferences per year offered by some of the finest trainers and behaviorists in the industry.
Whether it’s addressing on leash aggression, reactivity, behavior modification or teaching a puppy socialization class, Carol is at ease communicating to both canines and humans. She always brings insight to her sessions covering far more than basic obedience cues. Whether it’s getting your dog to “listen” or helping you solve behavioral problems, Carol is here to support you in your training goals.

What People Are Saying
"Carol and her Right Steps program was lifesaving for us as first-time dog owners. She has a warm, calm, positive approach that helps owners feel comfortable and confident. Carol’s methods build trusting and very attentive pups that are a joy to be with. She is amazing and I would highly recommend her classes and one-on-one sessions to anyone, right from the start. It’s been a complete pleasure to get to know Carol and have her work with Hank and our family!" Barb P.
"I am sad that I didn't reach out to you sooner when our dog was just a puppy. We thought we could train him ourselves with the help of the internet. However, now we are in Beginner sessions and see first hand the difference in puppies who trained with you prior to Beginner. We are struggling by comparison. We thank you for your support, engagement and for using positive training methods. We see a vast difference and a deepened bond already and we haven't even completed the session yet! The handouts and recordings of class to review at home are invaluable." - Sharon O
"Carol's classes are beyond belief and comprehensive. She doesn't just teach sit/down stay. She takes the time to explain canine body language, taught me how to socialize a puppy during a pandemic and how to avoid separation anxiety when things return to "normal". After the virtual class for puppies we are thrilled to be working in live, in person sessions. She offers far more than any other training class I have ever attended and the dogs' growth and learning are proof of her quality education to both canine and human." -Karen
“I took Carol’s puppy socialization classes and they are fantastic. Because of her expertise, we have a calm, socialized, confident puppy!” -Donna M
